This Marriott/Visa Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games Trip Sweepstakes is distinct from and in addition to the regular Visa Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games Trip Sweepstakes offered by Visa from 11/01/00 through 10/31/01. No Purchase or Obligation Necessary. Non-Purchase Entries and Purchase Entries have an Equal Chance of Winning. To Enter: The Sweepstakes begins November 17, 2000, and ends February 25, 2001 ("Sweepstakes Period"). An eligible Visa‚ cardholder automatically receives one Sweepstakes entry for each purchase or transaction made with his/her Visa card during the Sweepstakes Period, at any participating Marriott brand hotel location in the United States, including Marriott Hotels, Resorts & Suites; Renaissance Hotels, Resorts & Suites; Courtyard; Residence Inn; Fairfield Inn; TownePlace Suites; and SpringHill Suites. Only purchases or transactions made at participating Marriott brand hotels with a Visa card in good standing, issued in the U.S. by a participating financial institution, and processed through Visa U.S.A. Inc.'s transaction processing system are eligible for automatic entry. Cash advances, balance transfers, non-U.S.-dollar purchases, and Interlink"-processed transactions are excluded from entry. Cards which are stolen, fraudulent, tampered with, or otherwise altered are not eligible for automatic entry. To enter without purchase or obligation, complete and submit as directed an Official Entry Form at marriott.com, or hand-print your name, address, city, state, ZIP, day and evening phone numbers, and the words "Marriott/Visa Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games Trip Sweepstakes" on a 3" x 5" card and mail in a stamped #10 envelope to: Marriott/Visa Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games Trip Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 4017, Grand Rapids, MN 55730-4017. Online entries must be received by February 25, 2001. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by February 26, 2001, and received by March 6, 2001. Only one online entry per person or e-mail address per person per day. Enter by mail as often as you wish; however, only one entry per stamped envelope will be accepted. No mechanical reproductions permitted. Entries become the property of the Sponsors and will not be returned. Eligibility: Sweepstakes is open to all legal U.S. residents, 18 years of age and older as of November 17, 2000. Commercial card eligibility is subject to employer policies regarding Sweepstakes participation. Employees of Marriott International Inc., including employees of any and all of its lodging brands, Visa U.S.A. Inc., Visa International Service Association, their Member financial institutions, their subsidiaries and affiliates, prize suppliers, and advertising and promotion agencies of Visa U.S.A. Inc., including FAC Services Group, L.P., and Frankel & Company, their parent, and its affiliates, and the immediate families (spouse, and parents, children, and siblings, and their respective spouses) and individuals living in the households of the above are not eligible. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Prizes:One (1) Grand Prize: A trip for four (4) to the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Trip consists of round-trip coach-class air travel for four from major airport nearest winner's residence to Salt Lake City, Utah; double-occupancy hotel accommodations for four (4) days/four (4) nights; event tickets (four event tickets per day excluding arrival and departure days); scheduled meals; events as determined by the Sponsor; airport ground transportation in Salt Lake City; Classic-level amenity package (limited items available); and a cash award of $11,412.00, which the winner may use toward taxes. Actual value of trip depends upon winner's residence and time of travel. Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $37,412.00. Odds: Estimated odds are 1:4,888,342; however, actual odds of winning the prize depend upon the total number of eligible entries received. Prize Restrictions: Prize is not transferable. No substitution or cash equivalent of prize permitted except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Federal, state, and local taxes and any expenses relating to the acceptance and use of the prize not specified are the responsibility of the winner. Time of travel is subject to approval of the Sponsors. Winner and guest must travel on same itinerary. Drawing: On or about March 10, 2001, a random drawing will be conducted from among all eligible entries received under the direction of FAC Services Group, L.P. The prize will be awarded. Prize Claims: Winner will be notified by phone and a traceable method of delivery, and will be required to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release and, where legal, a Publicity Release which must be returned within 14 days after prize notification or the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. If Grand Prize is won by a person who is not of the legal age of majority in the state of residence ("minor"), the prize will be awarded in the name of the parent or legal guardian. Grand Prize winner's guests must be 18 or older, or immediate family members, and each must execute a Liability Release and, where legal, a Publicity Release prior to the issuance of the travel documents. If guest is a minor, releases must be signed by guest's parent or legal guardian. If prize or prize notification is unclaimed or returned as undeliverable, prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. 8.Additional Terms: By participating, entrants or, if minors, their parents or legal guardians agree to: a.) the Official Rules and the decisions of the judges and the Sponsors which shall be final in all respects; and b.) release, discharge, and hold harmless Marriott International Inc., Visa U.S.A. Inc., Visa International Service Association, their respective Member financial institutions, their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, and employees, including FAC Services Group, L.P., Frankel & Company, their parent, and its affiliates from any liability, claims, or damages arising out of their participation in the Sweepstakes and the acceptance, use, misuse, or possession of any prize. By accepting a prize, winner or, if minor, the parents or legal guardians agree, where legal, to Sponsors' and their designees' use of their names and/or likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without compensation and, upon request, will provide consent to such use in writing. Limitations of Liability: Sponsors are not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any Sweepstakes-related materials; for stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, or illegible entries; or for transactions entered in and phone entries that are processed late or incorrectly, or are lost due to computer or electronic malfunction. Sponsors reserve the right to cancel or modify Sweepstakes if fraud or technical failures compromise the integrity of the Sweepstakes as determined by the Sponsors in their sole discretion. Sponsors reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or marriott.com Web site; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed, or similar entry methods will void all such entries by such methods. Sponsors are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by marriott.com Web site users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes, and assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, or destruction or unauthorized access of the marriott.com Web site; or any injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer(s) related to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes, or downloading materials from or use of the marriott.com Web site.
